TERC+: A Temporal Conceptual Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
Much work has been done recently on the design of a temporal extension to SQL-92, called TSQL2. Similar work is being done to add temporality to the forthcoming SLQ3 standard. Still, TSQL2 is based on the relational model, which is hardly adequate for conceptual modeling of any but the simplest applications. This paper presents a temporal conceptual model, called TERC+, that can be used for developing applications with temporal features in a practical and realistic way. The model allows to describe application data structures independently of implementation concerns. We then define the semantics of TERC+ as a mapping to relational schema constructs.

Mouse models of telomere dysfunction phenocopy skeletal changes found in human age-related osteoporosis
A major medical challenge in the elderly is osteoporosis and the high risk of fracture. Telomere dysfunction is a cause of cellular senescence and telomere shortening, which occurs with age in cells from most human tissues, including bone. Telomere defects contribute to the pathogenesis of two progeroid disorders characterized by premature osteoporosis, Werner syndrome and dyskeratosis congenit...

The Behabad region is located within a tectono–sedimentary zone in southeast Yazd province, Central Iran. The tectonic activities have deformed and faulted the Mesozoic and Quaternary formations in this area. The faults in Kuhbanan and Behabad have played a key role in the evolution of geological events, mineralization, and the formation of Behabad–Kuhbanan horst. These faults have separated th...

Squamous cell carcinoma arises from highly proliferative basal layer epithelial cells, which normally divide for a short time before detaching from the basement membrane and undergoing terminal differentiation. Basal layer cells in stratified epithelia express the reverse transcriptase known as telomerase. Most human cells do not express telomerase and therefore are subject to loss of telomeric...
متن کاملTerC – an essential protein for the integration of CP43 into the thylakoid membrane and its assembly into photosystem II
I Summary During evolution, most genes of the cyanobacterial ancestor of plastids were transferred to the nuclear genome of the host cell (endosymbiosis). Consequently, to maintain the physiological properties of plastids, new regulatory elements and protein import machineries have evolved. For proper assembly of the photosystem II complex, whose core proteins are still plastid encoded, several...
